Age
You need to be 18 or over to book Travelsights trips online, so by accepting these terms and conditions you are confirming that everyone in your party is 18 or over. In some cases we do accept 16- and 17-year-olds, but you will need to contact us directly either by email or telephone to make your booking. If you do make a booking and any of your passengers are under 18, you are agreeing that these passengers will be treated as an adult.
Departure times
You will be told the departure time for the trip when you book your ticket. Please do not forget the departure time, and please make sure that you are at the pick-up point at least 10 minutes before the departure time. We operate on a tight schedule on most trips and cannot stop and wait very long.
Pick-up points
We have several pick-up points in Cambridge, and you will be told exactly where you will be collected from when you buy your ticket. If you are at all uncertain about the location of your pick-up point, please send us an email or – if you are attending a language school – ask your Social Organiser to show you on a map. Please make sure that you are at the pick-up point at least 10 minutes before the departure time.
Accommodation
On most overnight excursions we stay in good quality two- and three-star tourist-class hotels. Most rooms will be en suite and will have breakfast included. Occasionally, hostels or university student accommodation may be used. Rooms are mostly for two or three people sharing. Subject to availability, single rooms can be requested but a supplement charge will apply.
Passports and visas
If you are intending to travel to Europe with Travelsights, please ensure that you have all the relevant documentation you need. This may include a valid passport and/or visa. Passengers from certain countries may require a Schengen visa for travel into Europe, for example. This process can take many weeks and it should be applied for in your home country before you arrive in Cambridge.
Insurance
Please make sure you have the correct insurance before buying your ticket, especially for travel into Europe.
Luggage and valuables
Please remember that your luggage and valuables are your responsibility, so please keep everything with you at all times. The Travelsights team cannot be held responsible for any luggage which is lost during one of our trips.
Travelsights cancellations
Trips are very rarely cancelled and only in exceptional circumstances. Any passengers booked on such trips will receive a full refund.
Passenger cancellations
Travelsights operates a no refund policy for passenger cancellations once they have booked and paid for their trip.
Travelsights travel policy
At Travelsights we take the safety and security of our clients very seriously. Travelsights is a registered limited company with all relevant and required operator insurance. All vehicles used by Travelsights conform to EU legislation on driving and passenger safety. All trips are accompanied by an experienced Travelsights representative, and in most cases passengers will be given trip information, a map and an emergency telephone number.
